With nearly 35 years of combined coffee experience between Michael Harwood and Mandy Spirito, it felt imperative to execute their vision for what was once simply a name...“Vignette Coffee Roasters.”
We ran with the idea of creating our own story——our own vignette, if you will——pioneered by our shifty, precarious raccoon mascot. While the brand tone is irreverent and playful, the identity is orderly and professional, dovetailing the owners perfectly.
Heritage roots, vintage-inspired illustration, contemporary twists, and combining Vignette’s love of various vintage ephemera including Penguin Classics book design, vintage matchbooks, and heavy machinery logos, is the core of the brand visuals. The packaging for their flagship line of wholesale blends, plus single origin-sourced coffee was where the rubber met the road, launching in late 2022.
And while Vignette may have cut their teeth in the coffee industry for decades, believe us when we say that their story is just beginning.
